The Love Chef's Bread Stuffing/Dressing


1 loaf whole grain bread (a couple of days old*), cut into cubes
1/4 cup butter
1/4 cup extra virgin olive oil
3 sticks celery, diced
1 large onion, chopped
3 eggs, beaten
1 tablespoon poultry seasoning
teaspoon sage
teaspoon dried thyme
tablespoon garlic powder
Sea salt, to taste
Freshly grated pepper
1 cups low sodium chicken broth (more, if needed)

Optional: cup raisins


You can put in bread in the oven on a cookie sheet to dry it out.

In a large skillet, melt butter and olive oil. Add celery and onion; saute until soft. Remove and combine with bread cubes, eggs, seasoning and broth.

Place in greased oven casserole dish (covered) and bake during the last hour of turkey time in oven. Remove cover the last 10 minutes of oven time.
