Apple-Cranberry Crisp

Makes 4 Servings

 

 

 

Ingredients:

cup quick-cooking rolled oats

4 tablespoons packed light brown sugar

4 teaspoons cold butter

6 Granny Smith or other firm cooking apples, peeled, cored, and thinly sliced

1 cup fresh or frozen cranberries

1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice

teaspoon cinnamon

⅛ teaspoon ground nutmeg

 

 

 

1. Preheat oven to 375 F, spray a 9" square baking dish with nonstick cooking spray.

 

2. In a small bowl, place the butter and melt in the microwave, add to the melted butter: brown sugar, flour, cinnamon and nutmeg.

 

3. Combine the apples and cranberries in the baking pan and sprinkle with the oat mixture. Bake until the filling is bubbling and the topping is golden brown, 35-40 minutes.
