Chocolate Chunk Cookies

These chewy, fudgelike cookies will melt in your mouth, and they're one POINT fewer per serving than the classic version!

Yield/Serves: 24





1 serving cooking spray (5 one second sprays)

1 package devil's food cake mix, unprepared, use a 1 lb, 2.2 oz box

2 Tbsp reduced-calorie margarine

2 Tbsp water

2 large egg white(s)

1 large egg(s)

cup semisweet chocolate candy, chunks


Preheat oven to 350F. Coat a large baking sheet with cooking spray.


Combine cake mix, margarine, water, egg whites and egg in a large mixing bowl. Beat on low speed until blended and smooth; fold in chocolate chunks.


Drop batter by heaping tablespoons, 2 inches apart, onto prepared baking sheet. Bake until puffed up and dry to the touch, about 10 to 12 minutes. Transfer to wire racks to cool completely. Yields 1 cookie per serving.

Using cake mix to eliminate the need for melted butter and chocolate. Swapping reduced-calorie margarine for regular margarine or butter. Trimming fat by replacing 1 egg with 2 egg whites.
